AARP offers a variety of travel discounts for members, from flights and rental cars to hotels and restaurants.

Does AARP Give Travel Discounts?

AARP offers a nearly unbelievable amount of travel-related discounts. Below is a list of the types of travel discounts you can receive with your AARP membership.

Car Rentals

Before you begin your adventure, you may need to rent a car. AARP has you covered with discounts on car rentals with up to 30 percent savings. Members can get discounts through AARP Travel Center Powered by Expedia, Payless, Avis, or Budget. Perks include adding an extra driver for free. Cruises

Whether you opt for the Holland America Line or Grand European, you can get savings just for being an AARP member. If you use AARP Travel Center Powered by Expedia you will get up to $100 in onboard credits on select cruises. Or you can get up to $200 in onboard credits on select cruises at Holland America Line. Flights

Flying the friendly skies to get to your destination can require a little budgeting. But with AARP membership, you can count on some solid flight discounts. These range from $65 to $200 off round-trip tickets with British Airways to vacation packages through Grand European Travel with up to $100 off guided vacations, such as to U.S. National Parks. Hotels

AARP offers a long list of hotel and resort discounts. Whether you use AARP Travel Center Powered by Expedia or search directly on a hotel website, you can get 5 to 20 percent off your hotel booking. For example, AARP members get 10 percent off the best available rate at Margaritaville Island Reserve, a luxury resort brand located in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Members also get a choice of a 50 percent discount off a beachfront dinner for two guests or a couple’s massage. There are discounts on dozens of hotels and resorts. Rail Tours

Collete

Reservations can be made by calling Collette and mentioning your AARP membership to save up to $100 per person on tours of seven days or more to all continents. You can choose from land tours, river cruises, rail journeys, value tours, and more.

Colette Spotlight

AARP members get $50 off per person on single-city tours worldwide by Collette Spotlights. Call and mention your AARP membership to score this discount.

Explorations by Collete

Members can receive up to a $100 discount per person on small group tours by calling Collette and mentioning your AARP member benefit. Members can get between $50 and $100 off per person on small-group tours that offer cultural immersion.

Grand European Travel

AARP members save up to $100 per person on worldwide guided vacations that can be booked online or by phone through Grand European Travel. Members can choose from more than 300 vacations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, including popular destinations like Italy, Great Britain, Australia, and South Africa.

Vacations by Rail

You can save 5 percent on worldwide rail vacations, tours, and select train tickets in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and more. These include the Canadian Rockies, America’s National Parks and monuments, and more. You can visit online or call to get this discount.

Members can enjoy seasonal offers, special savings, and deals on hotels, car rentals, cruises, and more, which can be booked through the AARP Travel Center website or by phone.

Medjet Travel Protection

It also includes worldwide travel security, crisis response, and evacuation services.

Park Ride Fly USA

When flying out on your adventures, it’s important to find a place to park your car when you are away. Park Ride Fly USA offers 50 off-airport parking locations. Members can receive 12 percent off reservations when they use the coupon code aarp12 and provide their AARP membership number. It also includes luggage assistance, airport shuttle, and more. Customers can call or visit the company’s website to make reservations.

RushMyPassport

When you need your passport yesterday, RushMyPassport can be a lifesaver. The current processing time for passports on the State Department website is six to eight weeks.2 If you need it sooner, RushMyPassport can help. You just need to mention your AARP membership number to enjoy savings. Members can get passport renewal bundles that include shipping and government fees. There’s also special pricing and expedited services for renewals, new adult, child, name change, passport cards, and travel visas. You can call or visit the website to score this discount.
