Whether you’re traveling locally or planning a long road trip, gas prices can quickly add up. The good news is your AARP membership can help you save. In addition to many other automotive discounts and perks, AARP members can access gas discounts. We’ve highlighted the must-know details of some of the best AARP automotive perks that can save you money and help you stay safer on the road.

AARP offers gas and other auto discounts for members.

Does AARP Offer Discounts on Gas?

AARP members can earn money back on their gas purchases with the Extra Exxon Mobil Rewards+ program. This program is available to the general public, but when you link your Exxon account with your AARP membership, you can earn extra points.

If you’re new to the Exxon Mobil Rewards+ program and are an AARP member, you’ll get a 500-point welcome bonus after your first fill-up. Then, you’ll continue to earn points on purchases like fuel, car washes, and convenience store items. On member days, you’ll earn twice the points on fuel purchases.

Every 100 points that you earn equals $1 in savings that you can redeem on purchases like fuel, car washes, and store purchases.

Other AARP Auto Discounts

In addition to saving money on gas, AARP senior discounts can help you to save on many other auto-related expenses.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Your AARP membership can help you save money on maintaining your car, too. Members can save 15 percent on Valvoline drive-thru, stay-in-your-car oil changes.
